Craig Cawrse, FASLA

Craig Cawrse is CEO and principal landscape architect for Cawrse & Associates, Inc. Craig has over 46 years of experience on a wide range of projects that include urban design, environmental design for storm water and stream management, medical and college campus planning, and land planning for residential communities and parks.  His expertise on sustainable design within the context of site planning and landscape design have been used for the Cleveland Clinic’s main campus, which includes bio-cells; UH Case Western Reserve Campus, incorporating water quality basins in open space; East Bank of the Flats Phase I bio-cells and roof garden; and his Chagrin Falls office building, with permeable pavers, a rain garden, bio-swale, and native plant materials.  Craig is a registered Landscape Architect in Ohio, Pennsylvania, Illinois, Tennessee, and Arizona.

Richard Washington, ASLA

Richard is a principal landscape architect and senior designer who has been with Cawrse & Associates, Inc. since 1993. Richard graduated from The Ohio State University and is currently registered in Ohio, Michigan, and New York. Richard’s work areas include construction contract management, residential land planning, park and public facilities design, and he has been extensively involved with  Smart Growth conservation development projects.  Richard’s additional responsibilities within the firm include managing the office CAD and IT systems.

Reuben Shaw II, ASLA/ NOMA

Reuben is a landscape architectural designer, 3D visualizer, and social media manager who joined Cawrse & Associates, Inc. in 2017. He graduated from Kent State University where he received a Master’s in Landscape Architecture, a Bachelor’s in Pan-African Studies, and a Bachelor’s in Architectural Studies. His professional affiliations include the Ohio and National Chapters of the American Society of Landscape Architects (ASLA) and the National and Cleveland Chapter of The National Organization of Minority Architects (NOMA) . Reuben’s experience includes land planning, landscape design, green infrastructure, 3D modeling, and graphic design.
