City of Independence Master plan
Beginning with an essential
understanding of the project area through site visits, aerial and ground
photography, and community input, we sought to incorporate existing and future
land use and development. The plan
dealt with programming concerns, including development intensity, marketability
of potential uses, buildings, parking and landscaping.
It also reflected both short-term and long-term interests of the City.
Using “Target areas” we were able to graphically detail what will
occur in specific areas with regards to zoning, vehicular access, land uses,
building size and pedestrian use.
