Our services for Metropolitan Financial Center included site planning, landscape design, and construction observation. We modified the architect’s site plan to generate a more pedestrian friendly parking lot creating aisleways to the building and parking islands that were wide enough to accommodate plantings to screen and shade the cars. An overall planting plan including hardscape design was completed for the building and the site. We were also responsible for coordinating with an arborist in order to save a stand of mature oak trees. These trees enhance the primary view to the building from the intersection of Harvard and Green. A maintenance and care program was established to guide development and ensure proper care of the oak trees.
